Spanish for “scorpion,” the Alacaranes Reef is where the Texian Navy operated against Mexican shipping. Acting as privateers, The Texian Navy – under the command of Charles Hawkins – attacked Mexican shipping in both The Gulf as well as off the Yucatan Coast. The colors and style of this shirt are a nod to the sailors who fought for Hawkins.
